Lucky You ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it's used, and your choices regarding that information.
Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Your first name
- Your birthday
This information is provided voluntarily when you set up your profile within the App and is used solely to generate your personalized daily luck readings, zodiac sign, and life path number calculations.
Information for Cosmic Compatibility (optional feature): If you choose to use the Cosmic Compatibility feature, you may enter another person's name and birthday. This information is used only to generate the compatibility reading and is not stored beyond what's necessary to display that reading to you.
Automatically collected information: The App does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Subscription and purchase information is processed through RevenueCat and the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play), in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
How We Use Your Information
Your name and birthday are used to:
- Calculate your zodiac sign and life path number
- Generate personalized daily luck readings via a third-party AI service (Anthropic's Claude API)
- Track your daily reading streak
- Generate Cosmic Compatibility readings, if you choose to use that feature
Where Your Information Is Stored
Your name, birthday, and daily reading history are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain a central server database of user profiles. If you delete the App, this locally stored information is removed from your device.
To generate your daily reading, your first name, birthday, zodiac sign, life path number, and the current date are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for the purpose of generating your personalized reading text. This request is processed through Rork's secure backend proxy, meaning no API keys are exposed within the App itself. Anthropic's handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policy and terms of service.
Subscription Information
If you subscribe to Lucky You+, your subscription and payment information is handled by RevenueCat and the applicable app store (Apple or Google). We do not directly collect or store your payment card information.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Information is only shared with the limited third-party services necessary to operate the App (Anthropic for generating readings, RevenueCat and the applicable app store for subscription processing).
Children's Privacy
Lucky You is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your Choices
You may edit or update your name and birthday at any time within the App. You may delete the App at any time, which removes your locally stored information from your device. If you have an active subscription, canceling it is managed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
